I'm always on the look out for places that will make a nice place to live since we are seriously considering making one final move and retiring somewhere other than the Illinois areas we've lived in all our lives. The south definately has major incentives--the biggest being the warmth. I want to live someplace where water doesn't freeze. Face it, I'm never going to be totally without animals, but the chores in the frozen North in the winter can be... well less than relaxing.
Here's a place that looks like a wonderful place to live. Cary, North Carolina was vote the 2006 best place to live in the South in Money magazine. Find great values and information about Cary NC Real Estate at listwise. I love the fact that Cary is an agricultural town too. The place we decide on will have to incorporate the rural atmosphere we've come to know and love.
